Back in the 50’s pearls, china and the good silverware were only taken out for special occassion’s. The monotony in every day life was accepted and your beautiful jewelry and dress were only seen by the back of your closet or for that one special event you happened to get out of the house for. My grandmother to this day only uses her expensive face cream when she is going out to meet friends or attend a gathering. I often notice how her era molded her to believe that the nice things in life, the things that make you just feel good, happy, sexy or fun were only meant to be felt and seen once in a blue moon. I know this was a different time but I still see some people treat the good china like it should only be used for special occasions. We’re not in the 1950’s anymore and I believe life is too short to not drink tea out of fine china and wear pearls for a Sunday brunch party!
I think romanticizing your life and embracing as many moments as we can make magical should be done so much more often! As a woman, you deserve to live a life full of love, passion, and romance. Here are some ways that you can romanticize your life:
1. Take time for self-care: Self-care is not just about pampering yourself, it’s about taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Take time to do things that make you happy and feel good about yourself, such as taking a relaxing bath, enjoying a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, practicing yoga or meditation, or indulging in your favorite hobby.
2. Surround yourself with beauty: Beauty can enhance your mood and create a romantic atmosphere. Decorate your living space with flowers, candles, and soft lighting. Wear clothes that make you feel beautiful and confident. Listen to music that inspires you and puts you in a romantic mood.
3. Date yourself: Don’t wait for someone else to treat you to a romantic evening. Take yourself out on a date! Go to a fancy restaurant, see a movie that you’ve been wanting to watch, or take a long walk in nature. Treat yourself to something special and enjoy your own company.
4. Cultivate meaningful relationships: Surround yourself with people who love and support you. Spend time with your family and friends, and make an effort to connect with new people who share your interests and values. Building strong relationships can add meaning and depth to your life.
Remember, don’t save the pearls for a fancy occasion. You are the fancy occasion. Romance is not just about finding the perfect partner. It’s about creating a life full of love and passion, no matter what your relationship status may be.
